Komt Geert niet naar zijn foute vrienden toe? Dan komen ze wel naar hem (en ons)!

Op 30 october aanstaande komt de EDL in Amsterdam demonstreren voor Geert Wilders en tegen de op 2 november verwachte uitspraak in het haatzaai-proces tegen deze nieuwste held van alle blanke suprematisten.

Wie zijn de EDL, en hoe komt het, dat Wilders nog niet heeft verklaard dat deze voetbal-hooligans niet welkom zijn in het Nederland waar we immers onze eigen boontjes willen doppen, zonder Europa, zonder voetbalvandalen?

Het beste en duidelijkste artikel dat ik tot nu toe heb gezien over de Engelse EDL (English Defense League) en diens ambities om te komen tot een European Defense League, is te vinden bij een onverdachte bron, EUobserver.com: Football hooligans to launch 'European Defense League' in Amsterdam.

Leigh Phillips schrijft daar:

Formed in 2009, the EDL has held over a dozen often rowdy marches and demonstrations in cities across Britain over the last year. Protests that attracted only a couple hundred militants at the end of last year are now bringing thousands out.

On Saturday (28 August) a rally in Bradford, West Yorkshire, home to the second-largest community of south Asians in the UK, turned ugly when members clashed with police and pelted anti-racist activists with bricks, bottles and smoke bombs. Thirteen were arrested, according to media reports.

Anti-racist watchdogs call the EDL one of the most worrying developments on the far-right scene in the UK since the 1970s and the days of the National Front, an openly white supremacist and neo-Nazi political party.

The group now appears to be meeting with some success in exporting its novel brand of nativism to the continent, a combination of anti-Muslim vitriol, aggressive street marches and attempts to rope in football hooligan gangs by holding rallies around the same time as matches.

Samenvatting: Binnen een jaar zijn de EDL-demonstraties uitgegroeid van honderden naar duizenden deelnemers. op 28 augustus, in Bradford, werden stenen, flessen en rookbommen naar politie en tegendemonstranten gegooid. Dertien arrestanten. Inzet van 1600 politiemensen.
Antiracisten spreken van een openlijk blank-suprematistische Nazi-partij.
De groep schijnt op dit moment er in te slagen om deze nieuwe vorm van "eigen volk eerst" te exporteren naar het continent als een combinatie van anti-moslim venijn, aggressieve straatdemonstraties en pogingen om bendes voetbalvandalen mee te sleuren door de acties te laten samenvallen met voetbalwedstrijden.


Leigh vervolgt:

The group's mission statement declares that anyone is welcome, so long as they are "integrated:" "We are non-racist/fascist and anyone is welcome if they want to live under English values and fully integrate into our way of life."
"English Defence League members recognise that this [Jihad-, HR] threat is one that must be stopped at all costs. Our Christian, Jewish, Sikh, and Hindu friends all have tales to tell with regard to Islamic Imperialism," the group's "Exposing the myths" page reads.

One of its leaders is Guramit Singh, a Sikh born in Britain, and it says it is, like Mr Wilders, strongly pro-Israel and maintains both Jewish and LGBT "divisions" while backing a ban on the building of mosques and seeking the burqa to be outlawed. Its LGBT [Lesbian-Gay-Bi-Tranny-, HR] wing was set up after the Dutchman visited the UK in March when he had been invited to show his short anti-Islam film, Fitna, in the House of Lords. At a demonstration in Bolton in March, a man held up a pink triangle alongside anti-Islam placards and banners. Its LGBT division has 107 members at the time of writing.

De rol van Hirsi Ali en Jami wordt gespeeld door een Sikh die hevig is geïnspireerd door Geert Wilders. Hij leidt ook de "lesbisch-homo-bi-transsexuele" afdeling (LBGT) met, op dit moment, 107 leden.

In what would normally be anathema to traditional, antisemitic far-right outfits, the group has taken to brandishing the Israeli flag at rallies and, according to the Jewish Chronicle, its Jewish division had signed up hundreds of members on its Facebook page until the page was recently deleted, though Jewish leaders in the UK actively discourage young people from joining, with the Board of Deputies of British Jews describing the organisation as "built on a foundation of Islamophobia and hatred which we reject entirely."

Sv: Het zwaaien met Israëlische vlaggen is niet van de lucht, hoewel joodse leiders de EDL hebben beschreven als "gefundeerd op islamofobie en haat, wat we volledig afwijzen." Een aantal van de EDL-leiders zijn trouwens vroegere kopstukken van de antisemitische British National Party, zoals Tommy Robinson, de EDL leider.

De "usual suspects" come together:

The EDL has received endorsements from Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller, two of the main agitators behind the right-wing movement opposed to a Muslim community centre being built two blocks away from the site of Al Qaeda's attacks on New York in 2001, the so-called Ground Zero Mosque. Geert Wilders, for his part, is scheduled to speak at a protest in Manhattan on 11 September this year by Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) against the building of the community centre.

Although Mr Wilders is not thought to have direct links with the EDL, SIOA is an affiliate organisation of Stop Islamisation of Europe (SIOE), which has marched alongside the English hooligan movement. SIOE itself was founded in 2007 by Anders Gravers, previously the leader of a tiny Danish party called Stop the Islamisation of Denmark (Stop Islamiseringen af Danmark), in reaction to the Jyllands-Posten Mohammed cartoon controversy. On 11 September 2007, the SIOE staged a demonstration in Brussels.

De Brusselse demonstratie "Stop Islamization of Europe" van 11 september 2007 werd toenmaals niet ondersteund door Wilders. Maar de tijden zijn veranderd. Nadat Arabarbarist Hans Jansen enthousiast terugkeerde van een door het Vlaams Belang in november 2007 in Brussel georganiseerde conferentie met o.a. de racistische griezel "Fjordman" en Wilders' kroongetuige Wafa Sultan, is Wilders, eerst voorzichtig, maar steeds openlijker, zich gaan afgeven met de blanke suprematisten. Totdat hij nu gastspreker is bij "Politically Incorrect" in Berlijn en bij SIOA in New York City. We weten intussen ook, wie zijn speeches schrijft, de fundi-katholiek Paul Belien, die terug wil naar de religieuze onderwerping van voor de Franse revolutie. Homo-vrijheid en abortus-vrijheid staan klaar om op het altaar van de genadeloze strijd tegen de Islam en de linkse intellectuelen te worden geofferd. Een lot, dat ook Israël vroeg of laat te wachten staat. Let maar op!
Intussen hebben we ook EDLs in Nederland en negen andere landen. Wilders en Gravers zullen in New York samen op één podium staan:

Other affiliate organisations have been created in 10 European countries including Denmark, Russia, Finland, France, Germany, Norway, Poland, Romania, and Sweden and the United States of America. Mr Gravers is reportedly on friendly terms with Mr Wilders, is his "friend" on Facebook and will be speaking alongside him at the anti-Mosque rally in New York.
The demonstration in Amsterdam is due to take place on 30 October, according to the EDL website. Mr Wilders heads to court at the end of next month on charges of inciting racism. The case begins 5 October, with a verdict expected 2 November.

Gravers is een facebook-vriend van Wilders en is een fan van een totaal mythische Deense Noorman, Holger Danske (links),aan wie Karel Martel in het jaar 732 zijn overwinning op de muzelmannen bij Poitiers te danken zou hebben gehad.
Dat kan nog problemen geven met de Franse FDLers. Die noemen zich "Ligue 732", naar het voorbeeld van supporters van Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), die, aldus hun site "proberen om alle Franse incorrecten, ultra's en vrienden van Frankrijk te verenigen in de strijd tegen de radicale Islam".
Die luitjes vinden natuurlijk dat het de Franken en niet de Denen zijn geweest, die in 732 Europa hebben gered.

Maar volgens Steve Simmons, de woordvoerder van EDL, zal dat allemaal best meevallen. "We maken er een feestje van", zo zei hij "Het is tenslotte het geboortefeestje van de Europese Defensie Liga. Of misschien heet het wel het Europese Vriendschaps Initiatief." Maar we komen naar Nederland vanwege Geert:

"We feel that freedom of speech is being eroded and there is a lot of appeasing of radical muslims and Islam in general. Geert has the courage to take this on and we want to support him."

Geert Wilders zelf zwijgt tot nu toe in alle talen. De man die voetbalvandalen de stadions met tandenborstels wilde laten schoonmaken (2007, Tilburg) of in de knieschijven schieten (2010), is kennelijk maar wat blij met hun steun, als ze geen Marokkanen zijn. Zelfs als ze hun eigen ordetroepen meebrengen:

He [Simmons, HR] claimed that off-duty serving UK, Dutch and German soldiers which had joined "Armed Forces Unite," (which grew out of "Armed Forces Defence League," a Facebook group for EDL-supporting soldiers and sailors) have offered to help Dutch police to steward the event. 

Ach, er wonen maar weinig Wilders-aanhangers in Amsterdam. De te verwachten vele tegendemonstranten krijgen zo een voorproefje van wat hun bij de invoering van de Wilders-brigades onder bevel van de PVV-veiligheidsminister, te wachten staat.

Tot nu toe dus geen commentaar van Wilders. Maar je zult eens zien, hoe snel hij er bij is, als het Amsterdamse "socialistische" gemeentebestuur beperkingen oplegt aan de plannetjes van zijn fascistische vrienden en bondgenoten!
